Hyundai Confirms Genesis Entry-Level Sedan, Crossover
Hyundai Motor America CEO Dave Zuchowski provides valuable insight into what consumers can expect from their newly-launched Genesis luxury sub-brand!
Hyundai plans to bring no less than 6 new premium vehicles under the Genesis brand by 2020!
Eventually, one of those will be an entry-level premium sedan that is supposed to battle the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.
The vehicle would be about the same size as the aforementioned German rivals and could offer all-wheel-drive and the N-performance model.
What’s also interesting is the fact that Hyundai have also been considering to launch an entry-level crossover vehicle built upon the same platform.
While Hyundai has yet to announce the official release date of their entry-level sedan, we expect it to hit the Hyundai dealerships across the world in late 2017 or early 2018.
As previously reported here at the Hyundai-blog, Hyundai is planning to officially launch the Genesis brand at next year’s Detroit Motor Show with the unveiling of the 2017 G90 flagship sedan (pictured here).
The upcoming Genesis G90 sedan will be positioned at the top of the Genesis range and will incorporate the “athletic elegance” design language that will influence every single car that the company will launch in the coming years.
Following the G90 flagship sedan will be the G80 sedan (a refreshed version of the current Genesis sedan) which is expected to go on sale in the USA in the second half of 2016.
Also in the pipeline is the replacement model of the currently available Genesis coupe, as well as a larger 7-seat crossover vehicle.
