Genesis G80 Sport Trim Level Pricing, Colors, Engine Specs
The Genesis G80 is getting a new family member for the 2018 model year, with the Sport trim level set to hit the market.
The new model will feature several design enhancements, as well as a new 3.3L turbo V6 exclusive to this trim.

3,3L twin turbo engine specs
The biggest addition is the 3,3L twin turbo V6 engine that will appear exclusively on the 2018 Genesis G80 Sport.
This engine delivers 365 horsepower and 376-lb.-ft. of torque, and is mated to a sport-tuned 8-speed DCT, which means drivers are in for a fun ride in this kuxury sports sedan.
The Sport model also comes with an enhanced Continuous Damping Control – CDC suspension.
Styling changes
There are some exterior tweaks to the design that will help differentiate the Sport from the other G80 models.
These include a sporty front bumper, cross-hatched dark chrome grille, and LED accents that feature cool looking copper accents around the bulbs.
You will also find copper accents on the chrome 19-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, sport rocker molding, and black mirror covers.
Finishing off the new look are tinted taillights, chrome quad exhaust, and a sport lower bumper diffuser, all of which helps give the Genesis G80 Sport and aggressive styling.
G80 Sport color options
The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport color range will feature a pair of exclusive exterior paint hues, and they are Polar Ice and Sevilla Red.
This will take the total number of colors to 4, as the new colors will join the existing Casablanca White and Caspian Black.
Pricing & Cost of G80 Sport
As you might expect from a Genesis luxury car, the G80 Sport is not cheap, but it is still more affordable than comparative models offered by the likes of Audi, Lexus, and BMW.
The G80 Sport model comes with a starting price of $55,250 for the RWD model, and $57,750 for the top of the range AWD model.
There is a G80 model that sells for more, which is the G80 5.0 Ultimate, which has starting prices of $57,000 (FWD) and $59,000 (AWD).
You can also go down the G80 lines and get the cheaper 3.8L V6 model for a starting price of just $41,750.
Safety features
The safety features that come in the G80 Sport are wide and varied, making this a safe vehicle for both driver and passengers.
In addition to the Automatic Emergency Braking system, you also get Pedestrian Detection included, as well as Driver Attention Alert, all a no additional cost.
Also included are exterior cameras that offer the driver a 360 degree view of the area around the vehicle.
