Exterior styling changes
The design of the G80 is already beautiful, but the 2018 model ups the style ante even more with a slightly revised signature grille and a lower bumper fascia.
There is also the option of LED headlights with Dynamic Bending Light. The new model comes with a new 18-inch alloy wheel design as standard. At the back of the vehicle, chrome accents and a lower rear bumper are new, as are an updated high mount brake light.
Interior styling changes
The spacious interior of the Genesis G80 screams luxury, but it too has been given a bit of an upgrade in terms of style, convenience, and functionality.
A stainless steel aluminum finish has been added to the speaker grilles on the front and rear doors, while the designs of the analog clock, front tray console and rear-view mirrors have all been updated.
An analog fuel meter has been added in place of the old digital design.
Engines range for 2018 model year
The updated Genesis G80 comes with three distinct engine options: a 311-hp 3.8-liter V6, the 420-hp 5.0-liter GDi V8, and a brand new engine, the 365-hp 3.3-liter twin turbo V6.
The latter engine in this trio will only be available on the Sport trim level, which will also feature an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an updated CDC suspension.
While RWD is standard, all models have the option of AWD.
Sport trim level
The Sport trim level will be a new addition to the G80 family.
We already mentioned that it will get the new 3.3-liter turbo engine, but it will also feature several design enhancements that will set it apart from the rest.
These include a sporty bumper, cross-hatched chrome grille, and LED headlights that will feature copper accents around the bulbs. If you want to learn more about the Genesis G80 Sport, click here.
