Before we dive into the latest news and rumors about the upcoming 2018 Genesis G70, let’s have a closer look at what it is!
This is the all-new (Hyundai) Genesis RWD sedan that is scheduled to go on sale in the United States in late 2017 or early 2018.
It is the third model after the G90 and G80 luxury sedans that will be launched in US market under the Genesis luxury sub-brand!
Codenamed IG, the 2018 Genesis G70 is also known as the automaker’s first true rival of the BMW 3-series, Lexus IS and Audi A4 sedan.

We have already seen a couple of Genesis G70 spy shots.
Heavily camouflaged prototypes have been spied testing in South Korea last month, while previously the vehicle has also been spotted in Europe.
Note: Hyundai operates a research & development center in Germany where the automaker has been working on their future car’s handling and suspension tech.
2018 Genesis G70 release date
Hyundai has yet to announce the official 2018 G70 release date, but we expect the model to be officially announced at next year’s Detroit Motor Show.
It is also possible that the automaker would wait another month and unveil their new compact rear-wheel-drive sedan at the 2017 New York Motor Show.
US on sale date
Genesis coupe
We do know that Hyundai is working on the G70 sedan, but some rumors state that the carmaker may also launch a G70 coupe later in the model’s life cycle.
This is, however, a big rumor at this point!
G70 price
The G70 pricing will be announced closer to the Genesis G70 US on-sale date, but you can expect it to be competitive.
The vehicle will cost more than any similarly-sized Hyundai model currently on sale, but will probably undercut its main rivals by several thousand $$$.
