Hyundai Boosting New Genesis Production To Meet Rising Demand
Hyundai’s new Genesis has gained nothing but positive remarks from automobile media worldwide.
Furthermore, the luxury sedan has also experienced a robust demand from consumers, which is why Hyundai is looking to boost the models production by more than 22,000 units this year.
Hyundai’s manufacturing plant in Ulsan used to produce 20 Genesis models per hour, however number of built vehicles has recently been increased to 25 per hour.
Diving deeper into the numbers, the result of the recent production increase means Hyundai will build 22,000 Genesis models more than previously planned.
Hyundai staff commented that the company could further increase the production by adjusting the volume of the Equus luxury sedan if needed.
Genesis Sales Figures So Far
It’s no secret that Genesis has recorded the most of sales at its home Korean market so far.
During the January-May period, the automaker sold 16,775 units of their all-new luxury sedan, roughly three times more than last year.
Hyundai has also commenced the Genesis sales in the USA two months ago.
Shortly after its arrival to the local Hyundai stores in the United States, the model has experienced robust growth with May 2014 sales totaling 3,437 units.
