Hyundai Eon 1.0 Kappa Magna Plus Safety Review – A Powerful Performer
The Indian car market has plenty of options when it comes to hatchbacks and compact cars.
Hence, the carmakers are always on alert and very often, they come up with facelifts and updated versions of their cars.
Consequently, Hyundai India has also introduced an updated version of its small car, Eon.
The latest version of Hyundai Eon was launched in India during the first week of May.
The major revamp is in the engine department.
The new hyundai Eon magna comes with a new 1.0-litre engine, 3-cylinder Kappa petrol engine that offers the latest Dual VTVT technology.
1,0L Kappa Engine Achieves Euro V Emission Standards
The engine produces 69PS of max power at 6,200rpm and 94Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm.
It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. According to Hyundai, the Eon 1.0 offers a mileage of 20.3 kmpl, which is quite good.
On the exterior, the new Eon does not offer any change, other than the fixture of ‘1.0’ on the boot lid to highlight that the car is the all-new Eon 1.0.
Apart from this, the driver side fender gets a ‘Kappa’ badge on the front. On the inside, the new Eon offers an undated version of music system, front air conditioning, power windows, engine immobilizer and power steering among others.
Keyless entry and full wheel caps are other standard features offered.
As always, there is no compromise on the safety standards.
As a result, the new Hyundai Eon 1.0 comes with several safety features like seat belts, child safety rear door locks, internal rear view mirror and a central locking system.
It also offers an airbag on the driver side for added safety.

The Hyundai Eon is an entry-level car and it is placed below Hyundai’s i10 and Santro Xing.
There are about six variants of Hyundai Eon in the Indian market.
