Next-Gen Elantra To Be A Looker! Here’s The Definitive Proof!
There are still a few months to go before the release of the new Hyundai Elantra, but that has not stopped people from wondering just what the new exterior design will look like.
The biggest question that is being asked is whether the 2016 Elantra will continue with the aggressive styling of the current model, or whether it will take a step to the conservative side in the way that the Sonata did for the 2015 model year.
The latest spy shots suggest that the aggressive styling will win out, which isn’t really a big surprise after what happened with the Sonata.
Consumers were less than pleased at the conservative exterior styling of the new Sonata, to the point that Hyundai are already making plans to redesign it.
The original change was all part of Hyundai’s plan to bring in the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, which was meant to be an upscale, conservative approach.
It was not something that was embraced, and is considered by most to be a step in the wrong direction.
While there has been no official word from Hyundai as to whether or not elements of the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language will be featured in the new Elantra, the general feeling is that they will not make the same mistake twice.
Secret Consumer Workshop Comparison
There have been some consumer workshops done that indicate that Hyundai are on the right path with the Elantra.
A small group of consumers were invited to get a look at the new styling of the Elantra, and were asked to compare it to new versions of the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, and Ford Focus.
The end result was that the new Elantra outscored them all, and in fact were also the best results that Hyundai had ever seen from such a focus group.
