Best Looking Custom Hyundai Veloster Turbo from SEMA
Hyundai has become accustomed to receiving awards as of late, but they have turned the tables to hand out their first SEMA President’s Choice award to the JP Edition Hyundai Velsoter Turbo.
The JP in the name stands for tuner and design John Pangilinan, or John P. as he is known within the industry.
He bcomes the first Hyundai tuner to receive the award, and did so thanks in large part to the stunning brilliant mint exterior finish that wowed visitors during the SEMA show.
John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America admitted that selecting the SEA President’s Choice winner was no easy task. He said that the choice was made all the more difficult due to the fact that the Hyundai booth was loaded with great concept cars.
At the end of the day, though, he, like most other visiotrs to the booth, kept having his eyes drawn back to the mint green Velsoter.
Krafcik said he was also impressed by wide fender flares and blacked-out wheels, and the overall design. He was quick to pass on his congratulations to John P.
John Pangilinan, creator of the JP Edition Veloster concept said that he was absolutely thrilled to have received the award.
John said that the idea for the JP Edition Veloster came from the distinctive design cues that already existed, with the goal being to accentuate them even further using the mint green paint.
He went on to say his concept version of the Veloster took it into the ultra-exclusive tuner-car territory. The award that John P. received included an honorary plaque and a $5,000 honorarium.
