2015 Genesis Fully Exposed Before NAIAS Debut – Picture Gallery
Photos have surfaced that were allegedly taken at a private unveiling of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis in Korea.
It is believed that cell phones were allowed into the event, which meant that the new luxury sedan was able to be snapped from a variety of different angles, including the interior.
Word out of Hyundai is that the new Genesis rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan will be produced using the more “emotional” looking Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.
The actual description of the new Hyundai design went like this:
“Simple and harmonious design with refined fluidic design elements, modern Hyundai look with a singular hexagonal grille, easy-to-understand and pleasant design, as well as rich color, materials and finishing of the car.”
If you put the marketing pitch aside for a moment and simply look at the pictures, what you see is a car that has been given more of an individual flair than the somewhat generic look of the first generation.
That’s not something that really carries over to the interior, but the dashboard does sport a more premium look than the current model.
There is no official word on the hardware that might be used on the 2015 model, with Hyundai really only saying that it will feature improved suspension and application of various advanced technologies and top-class driving and ride and handling performances.
It is also known that the car will come with an electronically controlled HTRAC all-wheel drive system that splits torque between the front and rear axles depending on road and driving conditions, will be available on certain engines.
It is expected that the 2015 Genesis will come with the standard V6 and V8 units, as well as likely boasting the new 10-speed automatic transmission at some point.
Since the 2015 Hyundai Genesis is likely to go on sale in the first half of 2104, it would make sense that the official unveiling would take place at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
