2011 Hyundai Tucson / ix35 safety: 5-stars at crash tests made by EuroNCAP

The 2011 Hyundai Tucson (sold as Hyundai ix35 in Europe) has recently been given a 5-star safety rating by EuroNCAP. This is already the third Hyundai model, which has been awarded a 5-star safety rating after the 2011 i30 compact hatch and i20 sub-compact hatchback.
The five-star safety rating is the best possible rating a vehicle can get at EuroNCAP crash tests and clearly indicates that the model provides an excelent driver and occupant protection.
The 2011 Hyundai ix35 / Tucson crossover vehicle received a class-leading score of 88 percent for child occupants, scoring well in tests with both 18-month-old and three-year-old dummies. The test score for adult occupants was 90 percent, and the safety assist features earned a score of 71 percent.
