The All-New 2011 Hyundai Elantra receives the ALG Residual Value Awards for having the highest residual value in its segment!

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra has recently received the all-important Residual Value Award, for having the highest residual value among other automobiles in the competitive compact car segment.

The annual awards given out by ALG named different automobiles from 19 different segments and two brands, which are believed to retain a very high percentage of their MSRP after three years. ALG is the industry benchmark for depreciation data and residual values.

Based on all the car models and products predicted to come out in 2011, the 2011 Residual Value Awards chose its winners based on a careful analysis of segment competition, over-all car quality, vehicle performance, industry trends, production levels relative to demand and pricing, and marketing strategies. These are most important things that determine ALG’s residual value forecasts.

ALG recognized the growing popularity and much improved performance of Hyundai products. According to Raj Sundaram, senior vice president for the Solutions Group and ALG, Hyundai’s win of the mid-compact segment highlights the growing reputation of the brand, as well as its impressive new product push. The all-new 2011 Elantra shines with standard luxurious features and a modest price tag, and it’s expected to be a favorite of young drivers like the VW Jetta and Mazda3 before it.

ALG publishes important and sought-after industry data and consulting services. It regularly publishes the Automotive Lease Guide, which is the standard for Residual Value projections in the United States and Canada.

The all-new Elantra features unique Hyundai characteristics that set this brand apart and have led to its impressive rise in market sales and industry recognition. Some of these characteristics include Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design, advanced safety technology, and a 40-mpg highway fuel economy that is best in its class.

Hyundai spent a total of 33 months in developing the all-new Elantra compact sedan, which resulted to Elantra’s new and powerful 1.8-liter “Nu” engine and an in-house developed six-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai believes that this much production time was needed to ensure quality in both performance and design. Hyundai Motor America’s vice president for Product and Corporate Planning, Mike O’Brien said, “Achieving such tremendous value retention speaks to the overall quality and merit of the Elantra. Vehicles that retain their value in the long-term offer a lower overall cost of ownership to the customer, allowing Hyundai to offer strong lease options to consumers and better resale value at trade-in time for our customers who purchase their vehicles.”

This means the 2011 Hyundai Elantra gives owners their money’s worth. It stays longer with its owner and has very high resale value.
